Visiting Paris can be as spontaneous as taking off early from work on a Friday afternoon with your hubby or wifey, and just spending the rest of the day in the most romantic city on earth. If you are already planning to buy tickets to Paris via the Channel Tunnel train or riding the car trains and taking your car along, you can book for a one way ticket then book another one going back when you get there, or book round-trip tickets for a cheaper price.
For most jetsetters and frequent travellers to Paris, the best time to visit is during the spring and summer seasons. Although it would be peak season and fares would be higher than on other seasons, Paris in spring or summer is wonderful, filled with all sorts of fun activities, festivals, and cultural shows. If you’re on a tight budget or you just can’t seem to escape your place during the spring or summer.
If you’re curious about the rates, standard rates apply to standard fares. Most Channel Tunnel trains let you book in advance through online websites. Riding the bullet train via Eurotunnel would take 35 minutes coming from Folkstone and will end up at Calais. The fare is £49 per trip. The train travels back and forth making 37 crossings per day. When making a Channel Tunnel booking, you will be asked to provide which time slot you will be taking since trains travel on a timed course. You can learn about the time slots when you make the online Channel Tunnel booking.
Channel tunnel trains are usually the fastest, if you want to make it to Paris to catch that romantic sunset. The trains make the most frequent trips, and the trip won’t bore you for the tunnel offers and exciting view. Eurostar travels two hours from London to Paris and makes 18 crossings per day. It would take £59 pounds to return to London from Paris or Brussels, and £55 pounds when returning to Lille.
You can also travel to Paris through ferries, and this trip is more ideal for those who want to see more of the view and feel the breeze of the wind outside. You can also bring along your car. Speed Ferries usually take only 50 minutes if you are cruising down to Boulogne coming from Dover. The Super Ferries make five crossings a day, and it doesn’t cost too bad for £27 pounds a car. P&O, also a ferry boat company, offers a one hour and thirty minute ride from Dover to Calais. You can’t miss it because it makes 25 trips back and forth in a day at £37 pounds per car. With Sea France, it takes exactly an hour and 15 minutes from Dover to Calais. The Sea France ferry makes 16 crossings a day, at £35 pounds per car.
Make sure you book in advance if you want to catch the perfect time to go to Paris. The specific train time is followed and you can learn more about this when you make your Channel Tunnel booking online.

I love the opening paragraph of this blog. That is my dream to have someone whisk me away to Paris on a moment’s notice. What could possibly be more romantic than that? I think many of us share that very same dream. HOpefully if we study your blog it will one day become an affordable reality! LOL!
