Paris Sightseeing Tours

You’ve come to Paris for a variety of reasons, but one of them inevitably is to see the sights! But, how best to take in the best Paris has to offer if you don’t have much time in the City of Lights? The answer – Paris sightseeing tours!

One of the best Paris sightseeing tours are the escorted bus tours. You’ll find a variety of tours and excursions, throughout Paris and the surrounding suburbs, to fit your needs. One of the cheapest methods to enjoy Paris sightseeing tours is with the “hop on/hop off” tours. The L’Open Tour and Les Cars Rouges, with their double-decker buses, have a variety of routes that include stops at all of the best museums and tourist attractions. With the “hop on/hop off” option, you can get off the bus at any stop and explore at your own pace, then just simply catch another bus when you’re ready to go to the next stop.

While traveling between stops, you can slip on a pair of headphones and listen to a pre recorded tour guide telling you about the sights around you. L’Open Tour buses have commentaries in both French and English. Or, Les Cars Rouges have commentaries in: French, English, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.

Les Cars Rouges has only one route, but it has nine stops around the center of Paris. L’Open Tour has four different routes and you have access to all four with only 1 ticket. To get the most bang for your Euro, think about purchasing a multi-day pass. For only a couple of Euros more, you can have access to two days of Paris sightseeing tours, instead of one, ensuring you get to really see all of the sights. A Paris sightseeing tour may be a bit more expensive than taking public transport, like the Métro or the RER train, but if you’re pressed for time, want to ensure you’re seeing the best Paris has to offer, or don’t want to spend a considerable amount of time walking, you can’t beat L’Open Tour or Les Cars Rouges.

Suggested course of action :

On your first visit take a 2 day ticket on L’Open Tour. On subsequent visits, use public transport to see the places covered by the tour.
